London Transport, almost half-heartedly, bought an experimental batch of Leyland Atlantean and Daimler Fleetline rear engined vehicles in the mid 1960's, for 'comparative' tests against the Routemaster. A large order was eventually placed for the Fleetline, which appeared in the fleet as the DMS type.
