South Western Fjords

A two day trip to the south western fjords and Bergen using nothing but public transport. A twelve hour trip to Bergen, via the fjords, then a five hour train ride back to Oslo the next day.

Train from Oslo S to Myrdal on the Bergen line
Mountain train from Myrdal down to Flam
Boat from Flam through the Aurlandsfjord and into the Naeroyfjord
Bus up the Stalheimskleiva stopping at the Stalheim Hotell and then on to Voss
Then the train from Voss to Bergen where we spent the night.

WARNING
It rained or snowned most of the day from Myrdal to Bergen. The journey, views and scenary were still spectacular, but the opertunities for phography were very limited. There are few photos in this gallery.
