Located at Latitude 2 degrees 19 North and Longitude 111 degrees 15' East at the confluence of Rajang and Igan rivers, Sibu is some 60 miles from the South China Sea. With the mighty Rajang River - Malaysia's longest river - as its trusted companion and partner in growth, the Sibu of today has seen tremendous growth from the time when it was nothing more than a mud patch.
Bulan Pesta Air Nasional 2005 (National level water sports) were held on Rajang river, water of this river is muddy reddish in color. And some races were held in a lake. It was raining the whole time i was in sibu except for the morning of the second day.
Will be posting some panaromas too soon.
Thanks to Lily and her boy friend for bring me around sibu.
