The Yarra Valley is just one hour drive north east from Melbourne, a journey of picturesque views, travelling past vineyards, farmland and native bushland framing the upper Yarra River. The Yarra Ranges, including the breathtaking Yarra Ranges National Park, span an extensive, mountainous area of cool temperate forest around the three towns of Marysville, Healesville and Warburton.

We decided on a short escape to explore the area at leisure, staying two nights at a quiet resort, set in extensive grounds in Healesville.
