Two days were spent at Wilsons Promontory - escaping Melbourne's heat and the Moomba festivities, re-exploring this scenic Victorian National Park and some of the areas around it.
Darby Beach, Whisky Bay and Picnic Bay, all reached through the sand dunes on the way to Tidal River, were pristine delights.
From Tidal River, the park headquarters and popular with campers and day visitors, we walked around Norman Bay and along a track across the headland to Little Oberon Bay which lay shimmering in the morning sun.
We also drove to Shallow Inlet, on Waratah Bay outside the NP, and watched kite sailors and windsurfers showing their skills in strong winds.
