Many visits over many years. It is a great place for a brief stop-over for Australians travelling to Europe, breaking that long haul by air. This is a successful country, developing at a fast rate but we miss the charm of the old Singapore, which is fast disappearing. The MRT (mass rapid transport) is impressive and new stations are being built as the years pass.

Singapore, however , is vibrant, spotless, filled with the greenest of tropical trees, flowers and parklands and is an harmonious mix of cultures. Christian churches, Hindu temples, Mosques and Chinese temples stand almost side by side and all cultures respect each other and are proud of their country.
