From Seville, we travelled by train to San Sebastian which lies on the coast of the Bay of Biscay, 20 km from the Spain/France border. We were in Basque country. San Sebastian is also known as Donostia.

It is framed by a picturesque bay-front promenade overlooking La Concha Beach, a wide, white sandy beach known as "the most beautiful urban beach in Europe."...webpage. La Concha is a most appropriate name as the beach is in the shape of a perfect scallop shell.
