Prague 2015, 2017

Just two days in 2015 in this fascinating city - enough to fall for this medieval fairytale city of Baroque, Rococco and Art Nouveau decor, spires and domes, red tiled roofs and winding cobbled steps and lanes.

With some six hundred years of architecture virtually untouched by natural disaster or war, few other European capitals look quite as beautiful as Prague.... Guidebook

The River Vltava or Moldau is spanned by several bridges, the Charles Bridge leading directly from Mara Stana to Stare Mesto, both old quarters of Prague and containing one delight after another. We were moved by the history of Wenceslas Square and the suffering of the people when the brutal Nazi occupation was followed immediately by forty years behind the Iron Curtain under Communism.
