In 2010 we exchanged homes and cars with people in the delightful Perth suburb of Daglish. We met them at the Perth Airport as we handed over car keys and described where to find our car waiting at Melbourne. The house in Daglish was easily accessible to the train between the cities of Perth and and Fremantle. A day trip to Fremantle included a boat trip to Rottnest Island.

A return visit to Perth in 2022 was enjoyed before we boarded the Indian Pacific luxury train, for a three day journey right across the continent, to Adelaide.
