In 2023 we took a brief but relaxing two night getaway to the RACV Resort at Cape Schanck on the Mornington Peninsula. This area is easily reached from Melbourne, so most of its attractions can be covered in a day trip. However it was a wedding anniversary celebration and we wanted, not only to relax without home chores, but to take in several aspects over a few days, with a comfortable and luxurious base.

We enjoyed a repeat stay in the summer of 2026, with more exploration of this beautiful area, countryside between 'two bays" - Port Phillip Bay and Western Port.
