Easily reached from our Tolka Stud Cottage, the coast on either side of the Victorian and South Australian border is quite dramatic and beautiful. Further along in Victoria is a beautiful stretch of beach at Cape Bridgewater, offering not only beach activities but a fur seal colony and some petrified forest.

South of Mount Gambier in SA is Port MacDonnell, a serious crayfish and fishing port with a stunning coastline, the start of what is known as The Limestone Coast.

Once on our return journey to Melbourne, along Victoria's Great Ocean Road, we saw sights we have seen over the years but were impressed by developments to contain the huge numbers of visitors in a discreet manner sensitive to the fragile and very beautiful environment.
