Painted silos at Nullawill

Australian artist Smug captured the texture of the flannelette shirt on the farmerand the soft coated black and tan kelpie looking content beside his master.

Completed in 2019, the artwork depicts the importance of working dogs to the farming communities.

I am standing in the picture for impression of size - and the task of achieving such an artwork.

This is so neat. Love the solitary figure admiring the art and providing scale to the scene.

I love that this honours the importance of working dogs to farmers. The artwork is outstanding. We have some painted silos south of us, one depicting a hawk. V

What a great decoration for the silos. I remember kelpies being redder than this dog, but perhaps there are different varieties. V.
