The Perch pub at Binsey

A 16th or 17thC on a well trodden medieval route from Godstow to Osney Abbeys. Lewis Carroll (the pen-name of Charles Dodgson from Christ Church College) led Alice Lidell and her sisters here to the "treacle well" next to the Binsey Church in 1862, which saw the telling of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
