Across the Dardanelles from Eceabat to Canakkale in an impressive car ferry which contained our bus as well as many others, we continued in the bus to Selcuk, our base for visiting Ephesus. The Ephesus museum at Selcuk houses much of what was found in the houses and public buildings and nearby are the remains of the St John Basilica, built over a 4th C tomb, said to have contained his remains.
