Sleepy country towns, rolling farmlands, clusters and forests of eucalypts, vineyards and wineries, gourmet produce and shops filled with articles of past decades, small creeks in eroded gullies and the full and flowing Murray River dividing Victoria from New South Wales ... we took a leisurely holiday enjoying these features. We admired historic street-scapes, nosed about in old shops, second-hand book stores, a variety of cafes and cellar doors at old established wineries.
