"Caloundra's stunning coastal paths and well-maintained boardwalks allow daily life to unfold in a haze of sand, scooter-happy trails, grassy picnic spots and family football or cricket matches. There are a range of fantastic things to do in Caloundra, and it all takes place to the constant soundtrack of surf in the background." - Visit the Sunshine Coast, Caloundra Tourist information
From our balcony we could watch the water on the Pumicestone Passage, between the waterfront beach and the ocean on the other side of Bribie Island. A walking path could be followed around to the entrance of the Pumicestone Passage and beyond, to Kings Beach, the very popular surf beach and the main shopping streets of the town.
Son, daughter-in-law and grandsons visited us and enjoyed meals with us, exploring the coast along the Passage and the difference from Mooloolaba. My son brought his boat and took us across the Passage to Bribie Island and the ocean beach.
This year,2024, we spent a week in this stunning area, in another perfect holiday apartment, close to Kings Beach. We went to attend the wedding of friends at the Caloundra Motor Boat Club, at Golden Beach, and relived the pleasures of this sub-tropical paradise in beautiful weather.
