Berlin Revisited 2015

Bruised, bold and beautiful!

A second visit, this time for longer and looking forward to revisiting many places and discovering new sights.

A home exchange, as we often do, based in an apartment on the 19th floor of one of several matching blocks built as one of show pieces by the East German regime with assistance from Swedish architects and builders. Today the apartments have been renovated to a high standard.

Briefly a Berliner post

Lazy walking around the area nearby - surprising how close to some of the main sights our apartment block is. First of the big events Berlin seems to be constantly hosting, the Berlin Marathon, so once again the Brandenburg gate and surrounding areas are in complete disarray with cyclone fencing, temporary stands, streets and roads blocked with tape and huge crowds. Oh well, last time it was the World Cup!
