An overnight stop in Abu Dhabi (our second visit) on our return from an extended holiday in Europe. Flying with Etihad Airways, we felt the need for a break before facing the long flight back to Melbourne. We stayed in the same hotel as in 2010 and revisited the Heritage Village for the second time as we enjoyed it in 2010. Again, extreme heat made us seek relief in some of the enormous and luxurious shopping centres where people watching was an enjoyable pastime as we sipped cool drinks or coffee.
