On the way to Betio, we pass by Bong’s Chinese Restaurant. The only restaurants outside of the government hotel on Tarawa are Chinese restaurants – there are about 6 or 7 of them. They don’t look very enticing from the outside, but the food is edible. I hope the dog in the foreground didn't end up on the menu.
