Microtech Knives

Microtech has a rich tradition of making high quality knives with kick-ass designs. Part of their logo used to be "Advanced Knife Technology," which is true, the technology that goes into their knives is impressive. Microtech knives made up until the millennium are considered higher quality craftsmanship than those made after the year 2000, although now in 2006 we are seeing some nice improvements and impressive products coming out. In addition, Walter Brend, a famous knife maker and blade grinder, worked at the company from 10/1997 to 6/2000 grinding and polishing blades. His deep hollow grinds and masterful work may be second only to great Bali-Song master Jody Samson.

Walter Brend stats thanks to MicroFanatic and Kal El:

Walter Brend's first and last works with MT (grinding and finishing):

W. Brend's first handground/HP = 10/97 HALO II (33)
W. Brend's last handground/HP = 2/00 Mini SOCOM sets (4)

W. Brend's first handground/satin = 5/98 Nemesis III (108?)
W. Brend's last handground/satin = 6/00 CT II (?)
