The lagoon is located in Thua Thien Hue Province, just a short distance from Hue city center. The lagoon stretches approximately 24 kilometers, forming part of the vast Tam Giang – Cau Hai lagoon system, the largest brackish water ecosystem in Southeast Asia. This lagoon boasts remarkable biodiversity, with a rich variety of aquatic life, including fish, shrimp, and oysters, providing a livelihood for local fishermen.
