Well known and visited by surfers from all over the World, Balangan beach, Dreamland, Bingin, Padang Padang and Uluwatu were formerly considered the exclusive playgrounds of the surfing Community, with some of the best waves anywhere in the world on this small, stunning stretch of coastline. The waves at Balangan break through all the stages of the tide, with many different sections and offering rides up to 500 metres long on the bigger swells.
Not sure when the sand washed away exposing so much rock, but it's usually a beautiful sandy stretch perfect for sunbathers.
