Just beautiful

The texture in this picture makes it look like an oil painting. It's really beautiful with the muted colors.

I really love that one for the atmosphere we can feel, and for the graphic aspect too, land and sky going to a same horizon: the mountains...

A remarkable landscape. Most photographers would have made this scene at sunrise or sunset to create a sense of beauty. But by choosing to make this image as storm clouds flow over this country village, you create a mood and meaning that tells a different story. You tell us here how sturdy such old towns must be, withstanding the timeless wear and tear that nature brings upon them. You still bring great beauty to this scene, but it is not displayed in conventional terms. This image is layered in meaning -- in the foreground, the geometry, colors and textures of the aged rooftops lead the eye to the middleground, where a slender steeple draws the eye skyward. The sky and distant hills in the background offer a third layer -- a context of natural forms. And over it all, the constant play of light and shadow is at work to define each of the three layers.
