Another one of BZ's mysterious riddles. I had to think about this one for awhile. In terms of form, it is lean, spare, and crisp. The black background simplifies it, turning the circular clock, rectangular sign, and diagonal pen thrusting into it from a corner, into an exercise in geometry. A closer look finds the rings on the pen rhythmically echoing the clock's hour and minute markers. Even the raised lever on the pen has a role -- it echos the thrust of the hour hand of the clock. The more closely I study this photograph, the more fascinating it becomes -- a BZ trademark. Although I don't understand the words, I think I see what you are up to here. Even at 10:32 at night, time and business never stops -- penmanship and punctuality are at the heart of this matter -- and as usual in your pictures, no one is around at this hour to get the point. (No pun intended.) Except for you.
