Mom & Dad's Visit: Staniel Cay & Highborne Cay, Exumas: Updated 2/15/2008

Mom and Dad flew into Staniel Cay and stayed for 8 days. We had a wonderful time, ate a lot of lobster and met an unusually aggressive barracuda. Their trip home meant boarding a water plane from the beach and flying over our boat which was anchored in Horseshoe Bay at Highborne Cay.

Our refridgeration was not ideal but keeping the beer cold was a priority. It basically kept things at room temp. To keep a few things really cold, I made twice weekly dinghy trips with our little cooler to whatever local establishment sold ice. Sometimes that meant buying a frozen jug of rain water from a friendly bahamian!-Elissa
