When the Conservatory opened on December 7, 1893 it was the largest conservatory in the United
States and had the finest collection of tropical plants acquired from the Colombian Exposition in Chicago.

By minimizing the background (no sky, no waterlily in the pond and no tree around), I have found
that the lines of this transparent victorian palace are as simple as gorgeous.
