Beech Ave, the most beautiful street in Northside.
Time may etch the flowerpots but has failed to alter the serenity of the street.
On Feb 3, 1874, Gertrude Stein was born in this street. Although she spent most
of her time in France, the street is still proud of having such a great writer
with repetitive and humours style.
There was a quote plate outside the house where Gertrude was born:
"In the United States there is more space where nobody is than where anybody is.
That is what makes America what it is."
My favorite is :
Americans are very friendly and very suspicious, that is what Americans are and
that is what always upsets the foreigner, who deals with them, they are so friendly
how can they be so suspicious they are so suspicious how can they be so friendly
but they just are.
