Strange Flyer

The Buckeye is pretty common around here, but I think this is the first
Hemaris (Hummingbird Moth) I've seen. Very hard to get a good
shot because the Hemaris is so fast!

Sony DSLR-A350
1/500s f/5.6 at 300.0mm iso125 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Wonderful capture of the two of them. I found a Snowberry Clearwing Moth earlier this summer just resting on a leaf. Haven't been able to tell if the ones that I saw in motion were Snowberry or Hummingbird Moths! V

A terrific capture. I don't believe I've ever even seen one.

Nicely done,Ann! The humming bird moth is extremely hard to capture. V
