Perhaps Istanbul's greatest landmark, and one of the most prominent icons in the world. Originally built as a church in the 6th century, this was converted into a mosque in 1453.

The challenge of taking this photo was to block out the hoardes of tourists clamouring around this area to take similar shots of the Aya Sophia at sunset!
