The Bird Cage Theater in Tombstone, Arizona USA is one of the most interesting and famous places in the Old West of the United States. It was a saloon, opera house, brothel and home to perhaps the most famous poker game ever played.
Wyatt Earp's (of gunfighter fame) wife of some 47 years worked there as a prostitute before she met Wyatt. The famous poker game ran non-stop 24 hours a day for 8 years, 5 months, and 3 days back in the 1880s. Buy-in was $1,000 minimum and players sometimes waited two weeks to get in.
