Rock 'O the Range (Swalley Canal) Bridge

This is considered a 'must see' bridge in central Oregon. It's located north of Bend, Oregon just off the busy highway 97 travel corridor between Bend and Redmond.

It's unique by Oregon covered bridge standards. It's often called the only covered bridge east of the Cascade Mountains, but that's not true; there are others. Rock O' the Range is a kind of funky little non-trussed bridge. It slumps down in the middle down to within a few inches of the bottom of Swalley Canal. Swalley Canal itself is little more than a glorified shallow ditch.
