Cape Meares has the shortest lighthouse, only 38 feet tall, on the entire Oregon Coast. It does not need to be tall since it was constructed on a cape already 200 feet above sea level. It is located on the three capes scenic drive just south of Tillamook on the Northern Oregon coast.

This lighthouse, built in 1890, is inactive but still has in place a beautiful first order red-tinted fresnel lens. Unfortunately, this lens has been significantly damaged by vandals - twice.
