"Tawid" is an Ilokano word and is used by the Igorot, meaning Inheritance. In Finallig (Barlig dialect) it is refering to "Lakwin". Our ricefields are our most proud inheritance from our ancestors, a product of their ingenuity, hardwork and labor, it is our culture and the center of life of our forefathers.
Ayeona, Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures of Barlig. I was in your beautiful place in 1977.you did justice to the beauty and character of this beautiful place. I also saw the pictures you took on your travels but i must say the Balig pictures spoke volumes of your love and passion for the place. It showed in your pictures.
