The floor of the viewing area was a good six feet lower than the ground you see here.
The barrier was just some vertical strands of piano wire. So when this adult slowly
came walking in my direction it was nearly as thrilling as being out in the wild.
It's regal stride, the gorgeous coat and the huge paws were scintillating.
