my husband and I recently found an immature gannet washed up on shore onsouth Padre Island in deep south texas.....it was just sitting there and would not move....although it did put up a fight, we rescued it and took it to a wonderful zoo where is is being treated by the best aviary vets in south tx....it is much easieer to handle being an immature..is being given anti-biotics and force fed, but seems in great spirits...will be released when healed...beautiful bird
