One of the brochures at Guadalupe Mountains National Park states that the Park is not designed for car tours and that is true. There are basically three points of entry on the southeast side of the Park to trailheads. The visitor center has a very impressive display of stuffed animals and plants in a diorama setting. The Park includes Guadalupe Peak. the higest peak in Texas at 8,749 feet.
