Fort Davis National Monument

Fort Davis is just as large as Fort Union but it is much more impressive. There are many restored buildings surrounding the large parade grounds. The interior of one of the Officer’s Home has been restored. Inside the soldier barracks are exhibits, including a few artillery pieces.

It was about 3:00 p.m. when I left Fort Davis and ended home.

Rest Stop (I-8)
It was about 3 a.m. and I was bleary-eyed and tired. I stopped and slept at a rest stop east of Yuma, Arizona. I just reclined the seat and slept for 2.5 hours.
