Dear Avrum, as 2005 is upon us, I became nostalgic for family and roots, and looked up "Bluming" on the Internet. How nice to see your name and if those are windows in your home as a guestbook writer seemed to imply, they seem wonderful. Oh, I'm Sylvia, daughter of Ben and Rose Bluming, your cousin. I will never forget your father's book: "Jew Boy in Goy Town" and I just ordered another copy from amazon.com as the one I had was loaned out and I haven't gotten it back. Actually, I am making a little get-together at my home in Hackensack, NJ on January 23rd, 2005 and took the initiative to invite some of the local cousins. How nice if you were in town and could come too. Quite a few Blumings have Internet sites, and I am just going down the list. The Joseph and Lottie Bluming family was quite a clan, and it would be so nice to be able to have contact with some or all of the offspring. It's amazing how time flies...I do remember us as little ones and the few (all too few) times we got together. I hope your family is well and that you are enjoying them as I am mine. I'm not orthodox, haven't been for years, but still I have 18 grandchildren (Chai..good number)...well, my kids are modern orthodox...Of course my brothers numbers of grandchildren are off the charts as (unfortunately...yes, religion does divide) they are ultra ultra orthodox as you know, and take the commandment "be fruitful and multiply" literally. well, I love them anyway. If you're not my cousin Avrum Bluming (as I am quite sure you are..a little humor), it was great saying hello and I would love to hear a hello back.
All the best, Sylvia (Bluming Citron) Shapiro

Av & MARTHA -- UNBELIEVABLE! The house is other worldly...the work that is going into the roof alone makes it look like a piece of art work. And all those windows -- wow! You'll always be surrounded by the view. It looks like a museum that we just went to in Japan this summer. It seems huge right now. It 's so exciting - congratulations. I'll keep checking the site for updates.
