took another one without him shaking his head.
27-JUL-2010
Went outside aftre sending the racoon picture and these 2 had suddenly appeared, been around since last year. The closer guy decided to shake his head during the picture and is a bread eater, the other isn't. Both got their wish.

Just took this about 20 minutes ago, (just after 6:00 P.M.). The resident racoon was waiting for me to give the cats some food so she could steal it. Gave her a couple pieces of bread instead
02-APR-2008
Found 'Spot' (the cat's name) on Danielle's bed a few hours after she'd left for school. After taking the picture, I escorted her outside.
01-APR-2008
Very busy Spring around here for Hummingbirds.
01-APR-2008
I've seen as many as 15 or so at this feeder at one time, it's like an Air Force invasion.
01-APR-2008
They will sometimes squirt (spit) the liquid nectar at each other.
01-APR-2008
At their busiest, they were emptying the feeder every day.
14-AUG-2007
The fawn is still trailing Spot.
14-AUG-2007
Spot going for a walk, and one fawn decies to follow. Spot is on the RR tie, partially blocked by tree branches.
14-AUG-2007
It never fails that when both Spot and I are outside near some deer, the deer always pay more attention to the cat.
14-AUG-2007
Spot (the cat) likes to hang around the deer. They'll take turns following each other around. The 'Mom' is in the shadows by the Oak tree.
10-JUL-2007
They've finished eating the cat's food and are on the way to their next victim.
10-JUL-2007
Guess he was trying to figure out what I was doing holding the weird thing (camera) in front of my face.
10-JUL-2007
Ain't they cute? I was standing at the end of the house with camera waiting for them to come to the end of the front garden, that way I didn't scare them.
09-JUL-2007
Shot this through the front window. The 'coons are almost to the front porch, and their goal of eating all the cat food.
09-JUL-2007
Saw them out my bedroom window. They came from behind the garage and are on a mission to raid & pillage
05-JUL-2007
I thought I completely missed the little ones. However, if you look in the background you can see that 2 of them were looking my way. Their eyes look very strange floating above the ground.
03-JUL-2007
Contrary to Racoon families, Skunk familes could care less when I'm around. They happily posed as if asking for more food because they've pigged it all down. They all jump right into the food bowl too, they are not bashful. One of the four is the mom.
25-MAY-2007
He seems pretty curious about what I was up to.
18-JUN-2007
This guy had been around with his mom in the Spring. One day in May he showed up alone outside the front door. He was dis-oriented and dazed. He'd lie down and have a hard time getting up again. Later, he had his head laying inside our wheelbarrow and was slobbering uncontrollably. Then he disappeared for a few days, we thought he had died. This picture shows the injury he had on his right rear leg. Even when he was sick, it looked already healed but he may have been suffering from infection, who knows? Long story short, he's fine and comes around a couple times a days to eat bread.
06-JUN-2007
Looks like he's sneering at me.
06-JUN-2007
We usually set our fruit and vegetable scraps out back for whatever critter wants them. One day, I looked out the kitchen window and saw this fox out there chowin' down. In this case, he has a scrap of pineapple husk hanging out of his mouth.
06-JUN-2007
Trying to figure out what to do, and where to go next. He eventually took a dump on the RR ties right out our back door.
06-JUN-2007
I've lived here for over 15 years now. Until 2-3 months ago, I had seen a fox once or twice in all that time and even then the sighting was very quick. This Spring, I've seen them all over. This time he was pigging out behind our house for about 15 minutes.
21-AUG-2006
This is Jenna's first born. He's now about 6 months old. He loves to laugh and have a good time even though he's got his first two teeth in. Guess that explains all the slobbering he's doing lately.
July, 2006
A couple skunks are lookin' to steal some more cat food. It's a miracle our cats ever get to eat at all.
June, 2006
It's been difficult to get a decent shot of these little guys. I get plenty of glimpses, but the deer are very 'fidgety' when the youngsters are so small.
July, 2006
Many critters hang out under this tree, racoons, wild turkies. My cat loves to drink from the hose and take naps under the tree
July, 2005
These guys can be a little 'piggy', but are usually pretty even-tempered. The only time I've seen adult 'coons get agressive is when young ones are with them. Then they will growl a lot.
July, 2006
Just one of the local group of deer we see fairly often around our house.
July, 2006
In broad daylight too. These guys are funny. I no longer keep as much cat food in the bowl because it was costing a fortune to feed every critter for miles around.
