Stephenson Leads Lincoln To Win Over Jeff
Everyone thought Lance Stephenson wasn't going to play Tuesday night at Jefferson, when the Orange Wave took on the Rail Splitters from Abraham Lincoln High School. Everyone was wrong. "I don't want to lose a game this season; I believe in my teammates, I just want to make sure we don't lose" said Stephenson about his game-time decision to play. Not only did he play, he led the Rail Splitters to a 79-72 road victory in a tough Jefferson gym.
Stephenson scored a game high 20 points but didn't have his true explosiveness due to his ankle injury. "My ankle was swelling up; I had to settle for pull up jumpers most of the time, that's just not my game."
