Richard, your enthusiasm for engineering solutions to environmental problems continues to amaze me. The tramway reminds me of my recent visit to John Robin's lair in the Western Tiers of Tasmania. Alas, although he shares your enthusiasm for trains and tramways and all manner of eclectic engineering pursuits, he feels quite intimidated by the intrusive nature of the internet and therefore cannot share this update.
