Some random pictures taken recently with my Casio 3000 during a 3 day trip to DC, mostly to visit art museums, but with some time out to peek in the National Archives and take a few shots of major landmarks. Also lots of time for coffeehouses. :)
Many of the indoor shots were taken by adjusting camera sensitivity to +2 which basically bumps film speed from ISO 100 to ISO 400. All pictures handheld. Tungsten white balance used on many indoor shots, with an occasional flourescent white balance setting. Photos tweaked in Photoshop Elements 2.0. Captions included under many of the pictures (not under thumbnails).
*Note - photos taken in 2007 were taken with a Canon 20D in RAW format and converted to jpg using Adobe Raw converter and Photoshop CS2
What a great series of the American Capital. You have revealed a good eye for detail as well as compositional splendour. Some pics require a second look and all ooze quality. I love the library of congress shots as well as some of the artistic masterpieces. You have captured colour. Hehehe... I miss the coffee house shots but then again, I would probably have fancied a lice big moccachino...

Now I've seen all that you've posted so far. Artful composition and skillful technical expertise. Especially appreciated after seeing the DC photos, because those are the locations with which I am most familiar. Can hardly wait to take my own pictures of Alaska. (Though I'm being treated to the "floating palace" mode of travel.)
