Mt.Roger's National Recreation Area - Virginia

A day hike to the summit of Mt. Roger's Virginia. Mt. Rogers is Virginia's highest point at 5729'. The prettiest route (4-5 hrs roundtrip) to the summit is gained through the Massey Gap access point in Grayson Highlands State Park. For more pictures of SW Virginia, take a look here .

We hit Mt. Rogers in November, and it was WONDERFUL. I will definitely be going again when it is green....all because of your pictures...well maybe not ALL because of your pictures....but they helped a lot!!!! Thanks.

Sure brings back memories! This is my sons and my favorite hiking spot. My oldest son is in the Navy and we are going here in 2 weeks when he comes home on leave! These pictures really get me pumped up. Thanks for posting. Excellent photos!!!

i just thought it was amazing that i actually ran across your site. i grew up camping in grayson highlands and packing the app. tail in that area. i can close my eyes and see everyone of the pictures in your gallery usually with my father or sister visible or a herd of wild ponies. small world.
