Leaving Halifax, we headed directly towards Baddeck which we thought would make for a good central location to explore Cape Breton Island. We spent the next 3 days exploring Cape Bretons Highlands National Park, the Margaree Valley, and ended up traveling up through Mabou to leave the area. We regretted running out of time to visit Louisburg, home to Canada's equivalent of Williamsburg.
