Globular cluster Omega Centauri

Hakos, Namibia

The famous globular cluster Omega Centauri NGC 5139 is seen here with much space around. At left the galaxy NGC5206 could be seen. This shot was taken with an SBIG STL11000 and a Takahashi FSQ106ED 530mm/f5 without any converter. RGB filters were used from Astronomik. Exposure times were 2x5 mins with each filter. Additive exposure time is therefore 30 mins .
