NGC6888

This is an image of a faint emission nebula in Cygnus. The image is a 45 minute exposure at ISO 800 made with a SN8 f4 telescope. It is a stack of nine, five minute subs calibrated and stacked in Images Plus and post processed in Paint Shop Pro. Initial stretching was done with the digital development function in Images Plus then the stars were reduced slightly in size. The rest of the stretching was done in a two layer approach using Paint Shop Pro. The stars were processed on a separate layer to prevent excessive star bloat while stretching the background to make the nebula visible. It needs some more exposure since the camera is an un-modified 350D, but the bulk of the nebula shows through.
