The Queen Sirikit Gardens is a 20-minute walk from the MRT stop at Chatuchak Park. It is my favourite outdoor place for photographing flowers in Bangkok.
My favourite flower there is the lotus. You can see lotus plants in ponds as well as water lilies in the fountains.
My last trip to Bangkok was in April 2008. However, I have been preoccupied with other matters and could only upload them today.
Shooting flowers is therapeutic. However, shooting lotuses and water lilies in particular makes me feel so at peace and away from stress. In the past, I used to present them as I shot them. In this new gallery, however, I have made the shots more surreal by deliberately making them out of focus, so that they have a soft and romantic look.
