This temple, initiated during the early period of the Tokugawa Shogunate, is a very popular attraction especially in autumn. Many tourists rent traditional costumes, including those worn by maikos (geisha apprentice) to walk in the vicinity.
We were so tired by the time we reached this temple in the afternoon, that we didn't even go inside. We had also visited it in 2004. So I spent most of the time shooting street scenes. Some tourists also posed for me to take their photos.
