We had never heard of this Shinto Shrine before but the tourism officer recommended it to us. Apparently, it was a shrine commonly visited by the Imperial family from more than 1000 years ago.
Although the shrine itself is small, the gardens around it were full of cherry blossoms. At night, there are many food and drink stalls open and there is a high festive spirit around.
We are once again glad to have visited it as one of my most memorable shots of sakura was from this shrine.
