I had arranged to buy some Gold dore from Cam Gold and Diamonds, James Browns company. Alll was going OK then the requests for assistance started.
I assisted with all return information looking good. It got to the stage where the airline tickets were purchased and the copy of these sent through by James.
George was to be the courier. I had a call from them as they were on the way to the airport. I was tracking the plane as it had to go from Accra to Istanbul then change flight and proceed to Barcelona.
The plane arrived in Istanbul and suddenly I received an email allegedly from George stating he had left the airport building but could not get back in without security clearances. He stated he was heading out of Turkey and wanted more dollars to assist in getting to Spain.
Alarm bells rang. I rang the airline to find the flights had been cancelled at the last moment and that George had never got on the plane.
James stated he did not know what was happening. after a few terse emails to “george”, his contact ceased.
I had a contact from Italy in Barcelona waiting to meet the flight and take him directly to the refinery to complete the deal.
